IELTS= International English Language Testing System
IELTS is an international
test of English language made especially for non-native English language speakers
and for those who want to work where English is used as the language of
communication. The belongs to Cambridge English Language Assessment and administered by 4 organizations:
University of Cambridge ESOL Exams, the British Council, IDP Education
Australia, and IELTS Australia.
IELTS is one of the two major English-language
tests in the world, the other being the TOEFL (or Test of English as a Foreign Language). Each year a hundreds
of thousands of people take an IELTS test because it helps them become skillful
at listening, reading, writing and speaking. If you pass the IELTS test
successfully, you will be able to it to immigrate or work abroad such as Australia,
Canada or New Zealand or study at an international University in an English
speaking country.
When you go to take an IELTS test you have to choose
between two versions of the test: Academic or General Training depending on
their academic or professional aims. Both academic IELTS test and general IELTS test
have the same format: listening, reading, speaking, and writing Test.
The majority of people who took an IELTS test
agree that the IELTS test is very challenging But some people take the test without
any knowledge of how the test works and this is one of a lot of mistakes the
IELTS people do.
